A Bronze votive bull figure from the cult of Mithras,
c 2nd Century A.D. It depicts a walking young bull,
possibly a calf, with a massive head and neck,
incorporating a rectangular stand. c.2nd Century A.D.

Mithraism is a mystical religious cult common in the Roman army
in the 1st to 4th centuries A D. An important part of Mithraism
was the sacred act of slaughtering a bull.
